The Wicked Line Drive Hitter

Butch McCord has been dubbed by his peers, and rightfully so, as the record books lay bare the career of one of baseballs most wicked line drive hitters.

Proving himself with the glove he won two silver gloves in organized baseball after playing in the Negro Leagues with the Baltimore Elite Giants and the Chicago American Giants.

Later in the storied career of the wicked slugging gloveman he became the first black player to play AAA ball for Richmond, VA.
